기획의도

아이가 실종되면 모든 것은 가족의 몫으로 남겨진다. 세상은 아동실종 사건을 쉽게 일어나지 않을 불운이라 여기고, 아이를 포기하지 않는 부모의 삶을 헛된 희망이라 부르기도 한다.
“애가 만약 살아 있으면 지금 몇 살이에요?”
사람들은 연민만 가지고 쉽게 묻는다. 만약. 아이가. 살아 있다면.
아직도 실종된 자식을 찾아 전국을 헤매는 가족들이 있다. 가족들은 생의 끝자락에 선 채 오늘을 살아간다.
이 다큐멘터리는 세상으로부터 점차 고립되어 가는 한 가족의 이야기를 통해 우리사회가 방치해 둔 실종 문제와 마주하고자 한다.

Synopsis

Autumn, a leopard cats artificial insemination procedure is being done, the veterinarian who endured 2years of experiments and research without any outcome seems fatigued. Winter, the zoo is temporarily closed due to a widespread of avian flue. The veterinarian collects bird feces to examine avian flu infection. Because It’s a remote place, there aren’t many people or migratory birds visiting, therefore chances of infection are low, however, that doesn’t relieve worries. A true seal couple conceives a baby. The zookeeper is feeling tense reminding an incident that a just born baby seal died 2 years ago. The baby seal couldn’t come out of the water and drowned due to the water tanks structural problem. Late winter, the baby seal is born healthy. Zoo staffs take turn siting beside the water tank and look after the baby seal. Spring, the zoo reopens. Visitors revisit and the animals become spectacles once again.

시놉시스

가을. 삵의 인공수정 시술이 이루어지고 있다. 열악한 환경에서 성과도 없는 실험과 연구를 2 년 넘게 해오고 있는 수의사는 지쳐 보인다. 겨울. 조류독감이 심각하게 퍼지자 동물원은 휴장한다. 수의사는 새들의 분변을 채취해 조류독감 여부를 검사한다. 외진 곳이라 철새나 사람의 왕래가 적어 감염의 위험은 낮아 보이지만 걱정이 줄지는 않는다. 물범 부부가 새끼를 갖는다. 2 년 전, 갓 태어난 아기 물범이 죽은 일이 있어 사육사는 긴장한다. 수조의 구조적인 문제 때문에 아기 물범이 물 밖으로 나오지 못해 익사했던 것이다. 늦겨울, 무사히 새끼를 낳는다. 직원들이 수조 곁에 의자를 두고 새끼 물범을 지킨다. 봄. 동물원이 다시 문을 연다. 관람객이 찾아오고 동물들은 다시 볼거리가 된다.

‌Synopsis

‌This film begins with a photo of an armed civilian in Gwangju in May 1980. Mr. Ji Man-won, a conservative commentator, claimed the North Korean military intervened in the May 18 Gwangju Democratic Movement. According to Mr. Ji, the person in the picture is the North Korean soldier, ‘No. 1 Gwang-soo’, who masterminded the movement. The director traces the young man′s whereabouts based on the faint clues left in the picture. Amid the numerous photos that Ji Man-won presented as the basis for his claim, Gwangju citizens, who were suspected as ‘Gwang-soos’, filed a lawsuit against Mr. Ji. However, No. 1 Gwang-soo does not appear, and people do not remember him. The only thing they managed to recall from the vague memories was the fact that he was a ragman, Kim-Gun. The director approaches the truth gradually as interviews with numerous people and old data are closely compiled. At the end of the chase, what will we encounter? ‌시놉시스

‌영화 < 김군 >은 1980년 5월 광주에서 촬영된 한 무장 시민군의 사진에서 출발한다. 보수 논객 지만원 씨에 의해 제기된 5.18 북한군 개입설에 의하면 바로 이 사진 속 인물이 5.18을 배후 조종한 북한군, 이른바 ‘제1 광수’라는 것. 감독은 사진 속에 남겨진 희미한 단서들을 토대로 이 청년의 행방을 추적한다. 지만원 씨가 주장의 근거로 제시한 수많은 사진 속에서 광수로 지목된 광주 시민들은 이에 반발하며 소송을 제기했다. 하지만 정작 첫 번째 광수는 나타나지 않고, 사람들은 그를 기억하지 못한다. 희미한 기억을 더듬어 간신히 알게 된 것은 그가 넝마주이 ‘김군’이었다는 사실 뿐. 선명하지 않은 기억을 애써 끄집어내는 수많은 사람과의 인터뷰와 오래된 자료들이 촘촘히 엮이면서 감독은 차츰 진실에 다가선다. 이 추적의 끝에서 우리가 만나는 것은 과연 무엇일지, 마지막 순간까지 숨죽이며 지켜보게 만드는 긴장감 있는 연출의 힘이 대단하다.
